Are you trying to live a healthier life? Here are a few healthy lifestyle habits that can help you feel better, look better, and avoid disease.

Healthy Habits to Improve Your Life

Eat Breakfast

People who eat breakfast tend to have leaner bodies, lower cholesterol counts, and reduced chances of overeating. Breakfast-eaters are also less likely to get diabetes and more likely to feel better physically and emotionally. Children who eat breakfast every morning display more alertness and attention and perform better on standardized achievement tests.

Eat Fish

Fish is a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Eating fish regularly can lower your risk for heart disease and may reduce the symptoms of allergies, asthma, eczema, and autoimmune disorders.

Get Enough Sleep

According to the National Sleep Foundation, more than two-thirds of adults suffer from sleep problems. Lack of sleep can negatively affect memory, learning, and logical reasoning and can lead to psychiatric problems. Sleep deprivation is also thought to be responsible for more than 100,000 car accidents each year in the United States. Most adults should be getting seven to ten hours of sleep every night.

Get Enough Exercise

Everyone knows that daily exercise can help with weight loss. But exercise also assists in keeping bones, muscles, and joints healthy, reduces the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes, promotes psychological well being, and decreases your overall risk for premature death. Unfortunately, it’s estimated that over 60 percent of Americans do not get enough exercise.

Incorporating these four healthy habits into your lifestyle can help you look better, feel better, and live longer.
