Increasing activity is an essential part of weight loss after bariatric surgery. If the thought of wildlife and a cool breeze make the idea of exercise easier, then nature trails are the perfect place for you. If you live in or visit the Bonita Springs or Cape Coral areas of Florida, you are in luck since there is no shortage of nature trails in that area.

Before You Go

  • Before you visit any nature trails, be sure to pack some water, a map and a cell phone.
  • Let a friend or neighbor know where you plan to be for the next few hours and when you plan to be back.
  • Wear cotton clothing that is comfortable and protects you from the elements.
  • Wear the right shoes for walking. Wear supportive shoes that lace up.
